Ninety-seven percent of hospitality guests rated cleanliness as the most important factor when choosing a restaurant, café, bar, or hotel, according to a recent survey commissioned by Procter & Gamble Professional.

More than 4,000 consumers throughout Europe participated in the P&G study. The results indicated that cleanliness not only leads to an increase in customers, but also better tips for staff. More than 90 percent of respondents stated that an establishment’s cleanliness also impacts whether or not they would leave a tip, reports European Cleaning Journal.
